Prof. Dirk Nasser (University of Extremadura, Spain) has been appointed as Guest Professor at Baltic College (University21.07.2009 - (idw) Baltic College - University of Applied Sciences
Prof. Dirk Nasser received his Visiting Professorship from Baltic College - entitled "Leisure Studies, Recreation and Experiential Education". Vicepresident Prof. Dr. Torsten Fischer (Baltic College) and Dean Prof. Dr. Sergio J. Ibánez (Sport Science Faculty of University of Extremadura) presented the official document in Cáceres (Photo). A wide- range of cooperation include development of Erasmus-Programs. The common work focuses on human resource training and development as well as integrating experiential segments within existing research programs.
Professor Dirk Nasser studied Physical Education, Social Sciences and Spanish in Cologne and New York. He finished his Diploma in Physical Education at the German Sport University of Cologne where he was an invited Lecturer during 9 years. He collaborated in the organization of the first Specialisation Course of Leisure Studies and Recreational Sports at the National Institute of Madrid. Since 1995 he is lecturer of Sport und Recreation at the Sport Science Faculty of the University of Extremadura, Spain. In 1998 he founded the Cultural and Scientific Association of Leisure, Tourism and Sport Studies that focuses on knowledge transfer between Spain, Germany and Latin America. The main investigations and publications lines are: experiential orientated education - sport systems and habits - sport and environment - concepts of recreational sports - traditional movement culture.
